Har Hazeitim, the Mount of Olives, is one of the most historically significant sites in the Jewish world. Overlooking the place of the Beit HaMikdash, it has stood at the heart of Jewish faith and longing for thousands of years. The resting place of over 150,000 Jews, it represents an unbroken connection to our heritage and to the future of the Jewish people.
For decades, however, this holy mountain suffered severe neglect and desecration. Thousands of graves were vandalized, damaged, and destroyed, while visitors faced unsafe conditions and intimidation. In response, Abe and Menachem Lubinsky founded the International Committee for Har Hazeitim in 2010 to restore the sanctity of this holy site. Working with the Government of Israel and local authorities, ICHH has made significant strides in strengthening security, restoring graves, improving infrastructure, and ensuring that Har Hazeitim remains protected and accessible for generations to come.

Safer Har Hazeisim Spurs Development, Higher Prices
At least two major graves developments are being planned for Har Hazeisim in what has once again emerged as a preferred burial ground. Some sources say that as many as 600 new graves are planned for the undeveloped parts of the cemetery. Developers feel that the much-improved security situation has made Har Hazeisim a leading burial site.
